Role Definitions#
π Owner#
The primary account holder. Has absolute control over the organization, including billing, subscription cancellation, and transferring ownership. There can be multiple Co-Owners.
π‘οΈ Admin#
Designed for Safety Directors or Office Managers. Has full visibility into all projects and compliance data but cannot modify billing or subscription settings.
π· Project Manager (PM)#
Designed for Site Supers or Project Leads. This is a scoped role. A PM can do almost everything an Admin can do (add subs, check WSIB, upload COIs), but only for the projects they are explicitly assigned to. They cannot see data for projects they don’t manage.
π Auditor#
A special external role for CORβ’ Auditors or Ministry Inspectors. They get read-only access to your entire dashboard, audit trails, and document repository, allowing them to verify compliance without the risk of accidentally changing data.
FAQ: Where is the “Project Manager” option?#
You might notice that Project Manager isn’t listed in the “Account Role” dropdown when you invite a new user. This is intentional to give you more flexibility.
In RosterSure, a Project Manager is a responsibility on a specific job site, not just a system-wide label. This allows one person to be a Manager on Project A (full control) but just a regular Member on Project B (view only).
How to assign a Project Manager:
- Invite as “Member”: In the User Management screen, invite the user and select Member as their Account Role.
- Edit User Details: Once the user is created, click their name in the User Roster to view their profile.
- Assign Project Roles: Scroll down to the Project Role Assignments section. You will see a list of all active projects.
- Change “No Access” to “Manager”: By default, new Members have No Access to specific projects. Simply change the dropdown for the relevant project from No Access to Manager.
